When you register, we collect your name, email address, university affiliation, major, skills, and bio. If you register with an institutional (.edu) email, we verify your university membership.
We use your information to operate and improve useArco, match you with relevant projects and collaborators, send transactional emails, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
useArco uses JSON Web Tokens (JWT) stored in browser cookies to maintain your session. These cookies expire after 30 days and can be cleared via your browser settings at any time.
Your profile (name, university, skills, bio) is visible to other verified users. Your email is never publicly displayed. We may share anonymized data with university partners for research purposes.
We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion by emailing hello@usearco.com.
We use HTTPS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, rate limiting, and security headers. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure.
